| There is something about Kalawati...
Primarily it was the brief. I was told that the character they wanted to portray was that of respected Hollywoods star Tom Cruise, from the movie A Few Good Men. The role was macho yet not anti-feminist, held positive perception and plus challenging as it was of a lawyer.A very feminist storyline, yet Sati does justice to your character in every episode. Agree or disagree? A little bit of both actually. I would never want over exposure that would lead to the dilution of the meaning of the serial. The story has substance and the flow needs to be consistent. Too much of me or too much of them would lead to fluctuating peaks in the serial, which might lead to confusion or loss of interest amongst the audience. All I try to deliver is satisfying involvement at all times. But that doesnt mean my character is wasted or unimportant.

Interestingly, the winter leading up to that disastrous event was mainly warm and mainly wet (sound familiar?). Bowling Green saw no measurable snowfall in the winter of '73-'74 until February 8th, when 1" fell. It's worth noting that the 1" or less of snow in our area last week turned out to be the first measurable snowfall of the season for many. Now I don't know about you, but I cannot help but seeing some irony there. The early '70s featured some very active weather in this region. If we turn the clocks back another three years we find what I refer to as the "Other Outbreak' on April 27, 1971, when multiple violent twisters resulted in numerous fatalities and damages in the millions across South-Central KY. This, too, happened in a "La Nina" year. CLICK HERE for weather maps from 4/27/71...this one is day 3 from the drop down list.
Why Atheists Are Such Lousy Debaters
I watched the movie "The Great Debaters" last night, and it helped me to understand why atheists are such bad debaters. The movie portrays four students from a little black college in Texas, and shows how, under the tutelage of their pugnacious coach, they went on to defeat Almighty Harvard. Denzel Washington, who plays the coach, says early in the movie that debate is a kind of bloodsport. It's great virtue is that it puts rival ideas up against each other, as argued by people who passionately espouse those ideas, and then it lets the truth emerge through a kind of gladiatorial elimination. For about three years, it appeared as though the leading atheists were formidable debaters. But the reason was that Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Christopher Hitchens were selecting weak opponents and then generally giving them a public whipping.
England ‘has become poor relation’ in health care
As 2008 marks the 60th anniversary of the creation of the NHS, Michael Summers, vice-chairman of the Patients Association, a UK-wide charity aimed at helping people share their experiences of healthcare, said: "We should follow best practice ... which they have discovered in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. "They have all said that people should have free prescriptions and that we should look after our elderly people. England, for some reason, seems to have been the poor relation." .
Nelson's gas severance tax: details
He said he felt the measure had the strong support of Beebe, who he believes would veto any major change to the 7 percent rate.) Nelson said he and his committee, the Committee for a Fair Severence Tax, plan to start collecting signatures during the May 20 primary elections. The committee will have over seventy-five members -- at least one from each county. It will be going for 70,000 signatures in order to meet the threshold of 62,000 needed to put the initiative on the ballot. Nelson said he expected the campaign for the initiative to cost about $1 million, which he will obtain through personal fund-raising efforts. Nelson expressed confidence that Arkansans would vote in favor of the measure. He also downplayed fears that a tax increase would cause gas companies to take their business out of state.
